Junior Einsteins Science Club® brings hands-on science into primary classrooms. The instructor arrives with specialist equipment, such as a Van de Graaff generator and a plasma ball. Every child gets their hands on it, and the teacher has nothing to prepare.
The programme is award-winning. In 2026, Junior Einsteins won the Engaged Teaching and Learning Award at Trinity College Dublin’s Civic Engagement Awards, for a science programme run with four classes in a Dublin primary school. It has taught science to primary children since 2012. CuriKidz runs it in Luxembourg, and we’re an Extraklass partner in two themes: Wëssenschaft & Technik, and Natur, Landwirtschaft & nohaltege Konsum.
Our sessions enrich the Éveil aux sciences, sciences humaines et naturelles domain of the plan d’études. Each one is built on a single concept. The instructor explains it, and then the children predict, test and explain what happened in two or three experiments. We can match a session to the topic your class is studying, from static electricity and rockets to the heart, polar animals and clean water. Several sessions end with something to take home, like a compass, a catapult or a barometer.
A session lasts 1, 2 or 4 hours, for one class of up to 18 children. We bring every material and tidy the room at the end. Under the Extraklass charte, the class teacher stays in the room and keeps responsibility for the class.
The teacher picks the language for each session: Luxembourgish, French or English. German is available on request. Every instructor goes through our safeguarding process, and checks are performed and recorded before they work with children.
