Ich kämpfe fair! taster session

When we observe how boys interact with one another, we see that physical contact plays a significant role. Many boys seek to rub up against one another, push, shove, jostle and scuffle in order to connect with one another. In many contexts, this is not welcome because different behaviours are expected. There is also often a fear that the line between such behaviour and actions that cross boundaries – and are therefore violent – is blurred, and that the situation could spiral out of control. ‘EKF!’ builds on what many boys enjoy and therefore find appealing: powerful, dynamic physical contact whilst maintaining mutual respect, without violence and without any losers. In this taster session, they experience the KampfESspiele® method developed by the KRAFTPROTZ® Institute. The focus here is on the ‘inner referee’ – an awareness of fairness, justice and responsibility. Through fighting together, participants develop a positive way of dealing with strength and aggression.

Resilience+: Empower Your Mind

Resilience is a Skill you can learn, and we know how to teach it.

Empower Your Mind is an active, preventive, 4-session resilience development workshop tailored specifically for Teenagers.

While many traditional programs in the country focus primarily on raising awareness about mental illness and defining symptoms, our approach takes a decisive step forward: we focus on solution generation, practical skill implementation, and active cognitive protection with measurement of our results.

Instead of just discussing depression and mental health, we shift the view to focus on Positive psychology protective factors and equip teens with the concrete metacognitive training, creating the mental tools needed to navigate academic pressure, emotional intensity, and social stress – building active psychological immunity step-by-step.

Objective & Pedagogical Value

The transition into adolescence presents sharp increases in social, emotional, and academic pressure. Rather than framing mental health through a diagnostic or crisis lens, this workshop uses Positive Psychology and Cognitive-Behavioral Principles to help teens build an active coping toolkit. Teens learn how to master their thought patterns, develop self-regulation, and turn resilience concepts into everyday habits.

Program Overview & Session Breakdown

Structured over 4 high-impact, solution-focused sessions (60–90 minutes each), the workshop guides teens through four core pillars of preventive mental health:

  1. Session 1: The ABC Model (Understanding Thoughts & Consequences)

    • Focus: Learning the foundational Cognitive-Behavioral ABC framework (Adversity, Beliefs, Consequences) to understand how internal interpretations, rather than external events alone, shape emotional reactions and behaviors.

  2. Session 2: Emotion Regulation (Turning Down the Volume)

    • Focus: Developing emotional granularity, active emotional labeling, and mindfulness-based grounding techniques to manage intense feelings and prevent emotional overload.

  3. Session 3: Questioning the Inner Critic (De-catastrophizing & Perspective)

    • Focus: Challenging automatic negative thoughts, reducing worry, and actively preventing spiraling or depressive thought patterns through solution-focused questioning.

  4. Session 4: Real-World Mastery & Action Plan (My Personal Toolkit)

    • Focus: Applying resilience strategies to real-life teenager scenarios (exams, peer pressure, future anxiety) and creating a personal, actionable mental health protection strategy.

After program conclusion, the school received an analysis of impact of the program for pedagogical evaluation as well as class-tailored micro-recommendations to further flourishing.

Key Features:

  • Solution-Focused & Action-Oriented: Moves beyond mere awareness of mental health issues into active skill-building and strategy application.

  • Positive & Preventive: Positive Psychology to build psychological protective factos and metacognitive skills, highly effective to buffer against teen mental ill-health.

  • Multilingual Deployment: Adaptable across Luxembourg’s educational languages (LU, DE, FR, EN, PT).

  • School-Home Connection: Includes access for parents to guidance resources and video insights to support their teen’s ongoing resilience journey at home.

Let’s talk about sex!

Sexuality is a natural part of life and raises many questions, particularly during adolescence. This workshop offers an open and supportive space to share experiences, question one’s perceptions and gain reliable information about sexuality and relationships.

Through discussions and interactive activities, young people will be able to explore various topics such as the body and the changes associated with puberty, emotions and relationships, attraction, consent, personal boundaries, different sexual orientations and gender identities, contraception, STIs, pornography and first sexual experiences. These topics are explored in varying degrees of depth, depending on the questions and needs of the class!

The aim is to enable young people to develop their independence, critical thinking and ability to make informed choices, whilst fostering relationships based on respect for themselves and others.
