In this session, children find the maths hidden in secret codes, dice, flowers and shapes that seem impossible. The instructor brings every material, including snap cubes, dice, real pinecones and flowers, so the school has nothing to prepare.
Each session is built around one maths idea. The instructor explains it, and the children test it themselves in two or three hands-on activities. The 1 hour session, Marvellous Magical Maths, covers number tricks and secret codes. The 2 hour session adds Mother Nature’s Secret Math Code, on the Fibonacci sequence in plants. The 3 hour session adds Crazy Shapes, on strange shapes like the Möbius strip.
Junior Einsteins Science Club® is an award-winning programme. This session enriches the Mathématiques domain of the plan d’études in cycles 1 to 4, with a focus on numbers, patterns, space and shapes, and problem solving.
